Ciudad de los Niños y las Niñas is a 4-hectare children's park (45,000 m²) that opened in 2007 with more than 30 play structures, some designed with Córdoba's monuments as models — the Volcano-Mezquita climbing frame being the most distinctive. The park is fully accessible for children with disabilities.
Equipment for Every Age
Slides of different heights, interactive musical features, sand zones, balance activities, and the popular 'El Río' water zone — busy from late spring through summer. A skateboard and roller rink, supervised by specialist monitors, caters to older children and teenagers. All equipment meets European safety standards.
A Fully Inclusive Park
The park was designed from the outset with universal accessibility in mind. Ground surfaces are flat throughout. Play equipment accommodates children with motor, sensory, or cognitive disabilities. Tactile and sound-based features let visually impaired children use the park independently. The design has been referenced in Spanish planning guidance on inclusive public leisure.
Facilities and Services
Entry is free. Adapted toilets, shaded benches, and two snack kiosks are on site. Picnic tables under the trees work well for a packed lunch. In summer, hours extend to 9pm so the water zone is usable into the evening. Free parking available.
A Complete Family Day
The park is next to the Zoo and faces the Parque Cruz Conde. Allow 2 to 3 hours. Bus L03 from the city centre covers the route.
