Frequently asked questions

Can you visit Córdoba in one day?

One day is enough to see the must-sees (Mezquita, Alcázar, Judería), but 2–3 days are recommended to fully appreciate the city and its surroundings (Medina Azahara).

Is winter cold in Córdoba?

Winter is mild: 15–17°C during the day, 5–9°C at night. Late February often brings 16–20°C and blue skies. No need for heavy clothing — a light jacket is sufficient. See our complete guide to Córdoba in winter.

Are sights open during the siesta?

The major monuments (Mezquita, Alcázar) remain open throughout the day. Some smaller museums and shops close between 2pm and 5pm in summer. Restaurants serve until 4pm then reopen around 8pm.

Is the Festival of Patios free?

Yes, entry to all 50+ participating patios is entirely free. Queues can be long for the most popular patios. Arrive early in the morning.
