Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what data Explore Córdoba (explorecordoba.com) collects from visitors, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. Explore Córdoba is a small, independent travel guide, not a platform with user accounts or advertising networks.

1. Data controller

The data controller for this website is Explore Córdoba. You can reach us at explorecordoba.csruh@simplelogin.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what we need to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

  • Analytics data: We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site: page views, device and browser type, and country. This only happens if you have accepted the Analytics cookie category described below. If you decline it, none of this data is collected.
  • No account data: Explore Córdoba has no user accounts, logins, or subscription forms. We do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information through the site.
  • Contact emails: If you email us directly, we keep your email address and message for as long as necessary to respond, then delete them.

3. Cookies

When you first visit Explore Córdoba, a cookie banner asks which categories of cookies you accept. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences control in the site footer.

  • Essential cookies: Always active. These keep the site working, including remembering the cookie choice you make in the banner. They cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies: Used by Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure traffic and see which pages are most useful. This category is on by default, but nothing is set until the banner loads, and you can turn it off at any time.
  • Marketing cookies: Off by default. We do not currently run any advertising, so these cookies are not in use, though the option to enable them exists in case that changes.

None of these cookies track you across other websites. You can also disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not prevent you from accessing any content on this site.

4. Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Right of access: You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations that may require us to retain it.
  • Right to object: You may object to processing of your data for analytics purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at explorecordoba.csruh@simplelogin.com. We respond within 30 days.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Analytics data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy. We do not share your contact information with anyone.

6. Data retention

Analytics data is retained for 12 months. Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and deleted upon request.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at explorecordoba.csruh@simplelogin.com.
