Churros between the Mezquita and the Potro
Moja el Churro is the churrería in Córdoba that suits a visitor's route best. It is at Calle Corregidor Luis de la Cerda 43, and the official site describes it as beside the Hammam Al Ándalus baths, between the Mezquita-Catedral and Plaza del Potro. Google rates it 4.7 from 929 reviews. There is also a second branch in the El Tablero shopping centre.
What to order
The dough is made fresh each day, and the menu runs to jeringos (or porras), served with classic hot chocolate. The less common order is the sopaipa, a fried dough that Córdobans link to after-school meriendas and grandmothers' kitchens. Prices reported in September 2025: the classic sopaipa is €2, one with ham and cheese €4.20, and 20 lunaritos (mini churros) cost €3.80.
A sopaipa is a fine counterpoint to the sweet churro. If you want a fuller Córdoba dessert afterwards, look at the pastel cordobés.
