María Suárez Pérez
María Suárez Pérez was born in Córdoba and studied art history at the Universidad de Córdoba and the Université d'Orléans, followed by a master's in cultural heritage management, conservation and outreach at the Universidad de Valencia and the IVAM. She spent nine years studying and working in France, mostly in Paris. She interned in the conservation department of the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux, assisted a contemporary art specialist who organised auctions at Drouot in Paris, and began professional guide training in French. Back in Córdoba she holds the official tourist guide licence and has taught art history and French privately. Her pieces look at Córdoba's museums, monuments and art collections through that training: how a collection was assembled, what a building's decoration shows about who commissioned it, and what visitors tend to walk past.
