Authentic bodegas and modern wine bars for tasting the finest Andalusian wines: fino, amontillado and Pedro Ximénez.
The wine bars and bodegas of Córdoba are custodians of a centuries-old winemaking tradition. The Montilla-Moriles region, 30 km south of Córdoba, produces fortified wines comparable to Jerez sherries: fino (dry and light), amontillado (amber and complex) and Pedro Ximénez (sweet and syrupy). Traditional bodegas serve these wines directly from oak barrels lined up behind the counter, accompanied by classic tapas. Modern wine bars also offer Spanish and international labels in a contemporary setting. Prices range from €2–3 for a glass of local fino to €8–10 for premium vintages.
